Certified Professional Coach
Leadership and Transitions
I work with:
Those overwhelmed by life's demands
Those who feel stuck in the wrong rut
Do you feel like you are juggling so many balls in the air that something is on the verge of crashing all the time?
Are you so busy putting out fires with people, projects, rules, regulations, bills, etc that you almost forget the passion that drove you to start your endeavor in the first place?
Does your family say they never see you anymore?
Does a day off simply to take care of errands (let alone a small vacation) seem like an impossibility ?
Is your identity and self worth wrapped up in the "success" of your business or project?
Do you feel like you are not doing what you were put here on this planet to do?
It doesn't have to be that way. You can have your business/career, a great relationship with your loved ones, and more free time. But you need to make real and clear priorities and boundaries. It's so easy to see what this means when you are observing someone else's life, but very difficult to do for ourselves.
If you like the idea of growing, learning, and focusing your efforts,
coaching can help you move forward to:
Start a New Business
Gain confidence as you clarify your vision, your potential customer, your unique voice and direction.
Improve Work/Life Balance
Is your business running you or are you running your business?
Become a More Effective Leader
You are a leader even if the only person you are leading is yourself. Build genuine engagement in yourself, your company, and your customers.
Navigate Life's Transitions
Work out priorities in situations that could turn your world upside down like losing your job, career change, family changes,
work readiness, retirement,evaluating your
life purpose and artistic endeavors.
You’ve probably heard of coaching
but a lot of people aren’t sure exactly what it is.
Coaching is not consulting or mentoring where you get told what to do. And it’s not therapy which deals with past issues and how to overcome them. A coach walks side by side with the client, helping them get a clearer view of their own inner wisdom and guidance. Together, the coach and client create a realistic and achievable plan separated into it's smallest parts.
The coach and client speak regularly in person or by phone to help the plan take hold, check on progress and make adjustments to the goals and methods as the client discovers new territory. And when something good happens, we celebrate!

If you say yes to too many things even for the best reasons, you won't have time to take care of yourself.
Many of us have been taught that putting others before ourselves is one of the most honorable and highest virtues. But if you don't take care of yourself, eventually you'll break down like a car that never gets serviced and you won't be able to help anyone - not even yourself.
This is where I can help with coaching. I've been in that place and have a good idea of what you may be going through. We'll start by taking the time to really consider your values and which ones are most important in your life. Sounds pretty simple, but not many of us take the time to do it. After we prioritize which values matter most, we work out ways to delegate or even eliminate the things that are taking up your precious time and resources.
My clients tell me they feel freer and calmer knowing what really matters in their lives and understand that it’s all in the choices they make. After we work together, they know where to focus,
which activities are important and which ones they can release.
If you sincerely want to make a real change in your life, but feel stuck or unsure, you may be abel to do it on your own, but it's much easier by talking to another human being. It needs to be someone you can be comfortable with, someone that you trust, someone with whom you can be vulnerable and real, someone who will hold you accountable to do what you say. And if you aren't able to do the things you plan, you need a space away from judgement to figure out why and what to change to keep moving forward.
I can partner with you to do these things and more, but the only way you will find out if we are a good fit is to have a conversation.
I encourage you to be bold and set up a time when we can talk see if we can work well together and do it comfortably. There is no charge and no strings attached for this initial call.
I guarantee we will have an encouraging conversation.
I have 28 years’ experience owning and operating multiple small businesses in a variety of fields including retail sales, residential and commercial construction, and food service. I am a Certified Professional Leadership and Transition Coach accredited by the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching as well as holding an ACC accreditation from the International Coach Federation. I also am certified as an Energy Leadership Master Practitioner which allows me to administer the Energy Leadership Index assessment, a unique tool to determine specific attitudes and reactions to different kinds of stress.
I enjoy the look on peoples' faces when I explain how I graduated from music school in order to become a building contractor so that I could own and operate the Country Girl Diner in Chester Vermont.
My early construction experience and natural curiosity made it easier to understand how to bring the different trades together. When an early job got bogged down and delayed my work, I got involved out of financial necessity since my music degree wasn't doing a whole lot to help put food on the table for my family. I discovered a big personality clash between .....
